Ragamuffin was started by Susan Conway and Maggie Zeff nearly 23 years ago when they began appliqueing sweatshirts and embroidering toddlers' overalls. The long-time friends and former neighbors opened the store after years of designing and selling their own line of kids' wear through catalogues.

Ragamuffin is a homegrown store that has become one of the largest stores in Modesto's McHenry Village, stocked with a full line of children's clothing – infants to girls size 16 and boys size 10, as well as a fun selection of great accessories, toys, books, and gifts — all personally wrapped for your convenience at no charge.
